You Are Equipped with Powers

In our family, we love “The Incredibles!”

The idea of a family working together to protect and solve the world’s problems is appealing to all of us.

Apart from their every day lives, they have something more to offer the world. They have special powers. The most interesting thing is that they had nothing to do with it. They were born with it and their creator decided the specificity of each of their powers.

Just like them, you were born with special powers. You are equipped to handle all the ups and downs, brokenness and completeness, success or failure, sickness and health, as well as life and death.

You did not ask for them, but God has equipped you with the powers you need to live your life. It is up to you to discover your powers and use them. Regardless of what you decide to do, you are a powerful person who can make a difference wherever you are.

Personal Growth Does NOT Happen Automatically

When I came to this country, I was determined to be the best that I can be. The reality was that the pressure to better was expected in my family, because they depended on my success for a better future. It worked out well because I naturally had the passion for learning and growing.

When you are learning and doing in your third language, you must be intentional about everything. From elementary school to college, participated in every learning opportunity accessible to me.

I love books, so I started reading for pleasure. Then I learned that if I wanted my life to change, I had to give the historical romance novels up for biographies, business, and self-help books.

I joined organizations that would put me in the path of those who knew more than me and can help get me to the next level.

You see personal growth is never an accident; it requires deliberate action to reach your target.

I AM THANKFUL FOR TODAY

Today is a wonderful gift from God,

an opportunity to stretch my comfort zone,

knowing that is the only way

I will become more like him.

I am thankful for…Thankful for Today 1

  1. I am thankful for my salvation– Knowing Jesus changes everything.
  2. I am thankful for my family — Caring and loving them infused my life with passion and purpose.
  3. I am thankful for the good, the bad, and the ugly — Understanding that my transformation from the temporary to the eternal depends on my appreciation of what they have to offer.
